Since our Arizona summers can reach into the teens, we rely heavily on our air conditioners to keep us cool. I think back on when I was a child – way back – and remember only having an evaporative cooler. Even tin sheds now have air conditioning. ;-)
Each year, SRP offers its customers a deal for $59.95 per unit to have them checked by a licensed, bonded and insured contractor performing a 16-point checkup on our cooling equipment.
Good idea to perform this service before summer arrives. Otherwise, you might be spending the night at a hotel or a friend’s home when/if your a/c goes out. It can take a few days for a repairman to make it out to your home during the summer – and you do know? Stuff always happens on the weekend.
Call the SRP Certified Contractor Program at: 602.274-6808 and arrange to take advantage of this great offer. This offer valid until April 30.
Also, be sure to stop by and check out the website: www.srpnet.com/powerwise for more details.

TERI, that sounds like a great deal! I grew up in Kansas and remember NOT having air conditioning. It was so miserable trying to sleep you would just lay there. I also remember us having an evaporative cooler but it didn't work that great in Kansas. Now my parents use an evaporative cooler in Colorado and it works great. People see it on our disclosure and often ask me what they are. I tell them that I'm sure they don't have one; putting humidity in the air is not something we need to do in Houston.
Marchel, LOL...true memories. I guess I am definitely dating myself, huh? My siblings and I used to all gather on the floor as close to the evap as we could, so we could sleep during the summer. ;-)
Perfect Timing for this offer ! Nice Teri !!
Sheldon, really, huh? Soon we'll be in dire straits...especially if the a/c's break down. ;-)
Teri,
What a great service and a great idea to pass along to your readers. Many of our older vintage homes in Pullman don't even have AC. Our summer evenings drop down to the 50's as soon as the sun goes down...
Zoweeeee,Teri ~ that's a smokin' deal! And you're right, summer is just around the corner. Nice info! :)
I really wish we had that problem here in Massachusetts Teri. I will take the heat over cold anyday:)
Which reminds me, I need to get hopping on an A/C check myself. We don't get the really hot weather in Sacramento until July, and there are people who live here without A/C - I have no idea how they do it. I imagine some folks in Phoenix don't have A/C either. It's a mystery how they survive.
A wonderful idea for a community service post, and a great deal, too. Thanks for the reminder and the idea for some information I can provide to my readers.
Good idea for everyone get the evaluation done before the heat arrives.
Teri, We contracted for a new heat pump before winter in 2007 - the old one died the day before the new one was to be installed - good advice, Karen
Teri--Great pricing and getting the A/C checked early is important...especially in AZ where it gets HOT! :)
Teri - What a great deal! Also, it's far better to have the A/C checked before it goes on the fritz in the middle of summer, when it can sometimes be difficult to get a repairman out.
Lori, oooohhh nice, cool evenings. I do miss that during the summer. ;-)
Randy, it is a smokin deal...other companies have called and offered the same service...for more money!! ;-)
Bill, I am 100% in agreement with your thought on that. I do not like the cold....cool is okay, but the cold? Nah!!! ;-)
Elizabeth, we've grown so accustomed to air conditioning, that I can't imagine life without it. It's just a part of our lives now - BUT, I do remember a time when it was - indeed - a luxury. ;-)
Janna, I like to share this type of information....it's a great head's up. ;-)
Terry, you're right about that. ;-)
Karen, good timing...very good timing, huh?
Teri, really great pricing. It does get hot...that photo isn't really an exaggeration. ;-)
Myrl, Very good deal, and it gets us off our duffs to get things taken care of. You're right about trying to get someone over to repair the a/c during the summer. ;-)
Thanks for the reminder Teri. That price is great. Just watch out for the "clean the coils" upcharge....
