Teri, congratulations on your listing.  By the way, how much are the water rights worth?  Just curious.

Mark, thanks. I have no idea, but I suspect they're worth a lot these days! ;-) I have several to put on the Rain.....been a little slow since I opened my own brokerage!!! My brother is the irrigated land and horse property expert!

Thank you for the reply.  I was just curious to know.

The water rights are grandfathered in and owned by the farmers in a co-op with a board of directors. They own wells - ground and irrigation wells - as well as the water that comes down the Gila River. How's that?

This means that the water rights are priceless.....'cause of the way it's set up. Hope this answers your question better. ;-)

Teri - Congratulations on your new listing.  Hopefully it will sell quickly for you.  Having water rights sure does help!

Meg, this is a spectacular property.  I don't think it will last too long! Thanks for dropping by.

With the eventual completion of the 202 the entire southwest portion of the loop will help make these areas an awesome place to live and work.

Chuck, this area is unbelievable. It has two water underground "springs" that keep the river flowing and the land irrigated. Not too much of the water rights, irrigated property left. There's another planned freeway further west that will go right through this property. We'll be putting up another listing in Arlington and some history very soon. ;-)

I love the area- it reminds me of the southeast valley back before it got "discovered".

Chuck, yep......reminds me of downtown Phoenix when we lived in the boonies at 35th Street and McDowell! ;-)

I would venture to say that things have changed somewhat at the old homestead.
