As we all know, anything to help the sorry state of affairs in our country when it comes to homeownership is a "good thing." Here's a
GREAT START! Homeowners' Survival Event will be held at the Indian Steele Park in Central Phoenix this Saturday, March 20 from 10-4. This event will be hosted by the Arizona State Escrow Association in conjunction with the Better Business Bureau, Arizona Department of Financial Institutions and the Arizona Mortgage Lenders' Association at the Memorial Hall at 300 East Indian School Road, Phoenix, AZ 85012.
There will be no cost to attend, and the event is will host mini sessions on adjustable rate loans, foreclosure/homeowner eviction, short sales, scams, tax implications and second mortgages/credit impact.
Those who would like to meet with a counselor from Take Charge America are encouraged to bring copies of their current loan documents, e.g., Note, Truth-in-Lending Statement, etc.
The event is sponsored by trade associations and will not be used as an opportunity to promote the services of a for-profit organization.
This is an awesome program/event for those struggling with their homes and mortgage payments. Spread the word! For more information, please click HERE!
P.S. Maybe it's time we started a GROUP "Helping Homeowners" which would include these types of events!

Teri,
I love this idea. I hope many home owners who are struggling attend and learn about their options.
Hi Teri,
Glad to see something like this. I'd sure hope other associations would consider things that would help homeowners in trouble.
Teri - this is really good information for consumers. Glad to see this sort of event being held - there should be more. Kudos to you for spreading the word.
Jeff
Teri -- I think this will be well attended. I am glad to see that there are these types of resources for consumers. Let us know how it turns out.
At the point this country is getting, we may need more than just a class to help the home owners. I hope you got the package I sent you last week. That is just a small thank you for what you have done for me and my family.
Marzena, I'm hoping that they get the help they need. ;-)
Lynda, SOMETHING must be done. People are walking away because they owe twice as much on their home as it's worth and the banks do NOTHING!!!
Jeff, I agree. I just wanted to get the word out as much as possible. ;-)
Joan, you know it will. We need more of these events for sure. Usually there are hundreds of people that do get the help out of thousands in line.
Todd, I agree, unfortunately, BUT I think when we learn of these events, we need to spread the word. ;-)
Teri,
Looks like a great event! It's good to see these kinds of info sessions are being held to help out the public...
Jo
Hi Jo, good to hear from you. I hope it did go well. We need more of these....;-)

Teri I believe the key to its' success would be the "no personal promotion" rule
