Wordless Wednesday provides me with the opportunity to share some of my favorite photos I've taken. This one is one that I took of a wild flower on one of the many trails along the Mongollon Rim in Northeastern Arizona, a day trip from Mesa! I fooled around with the options on my camera and came up with the background blurred and the flowers clear. I hope you enjoy the picture! This is one I've actually printed and framed.

That is a beatiful photo... You are very talented indeed. Merry christmas.
Don't you just love how photogenic Arizona is? Beautiful flower!

Teri -
I take you word that it is a wild flower. But to me it looks like a thistle. (Which would seem like a noxious weed set to torment rather than endear. Does it have thorny leaves...or at least prickly ones?
Hi Teri ~ We're finally covered with snow - what a difference a day makes - so it's nice to see such a lovely picture. Love how you changed the background.

Holy cow, Teri - definitely WORTHY of printing and framing like you did - GORGEOUS!
Very nice Teri! I need to experiment with my camera settings as well.. Merry Christmas! Any snow down there? :)
Cool picture Terri. There is something so appealing about wild flowers. The settings with the blurry background rocks.
Teri,
This is pretty. It looks like the pink version of our red powderpuff - maybe a cousin. :)

Great photo Teri. It makes me wish for Springtime, or at least a trip to sunny Arizona.
Teri, that is a great photo! Is it a thistle flower? They, like cactus flowers are very beautiful.
Teri it is a beautiful photo and I can understand why you would frame it. I love purple too.
Teri, You must be a glass half full person. You can take what some would call a weed and turn it into a lovely wildflower. I bet you turn lemons into lemonade, too. It is a lovely picture.
Thank you everyone for your comments. Jim and Tony/Darcy, it might be a thistle or a weed, but it's pretty nevertheless, dontcha think? And Don, nope, no snow in Sunny Mesa, but the mountains are definitely covered. ;-)
Teri I would like to see that plant in person from a golf course down there. We had a major storm in the San Juans , clear and 9 degrees, snow on the ground.
Merry Christmas
I love coming on this groups site to see the photo's that are displayed. They are so beautiful.
Merry Christmas!
Great photo...it's the simple things that sometimes radiate the most beauty.
Merry Christmas
Nick, come on down. It's beautiful here.;-)
Diane, so do I. Thanks for coming by. ;-)
John thank you...I agree. ;-)
Hi Teri, Merry Christmas! I hope your day was wonderful. This is a stunning photo and thank you for sharing it here with the group. Excellent!
Nice depth of field, Teri! And if this is a weed, at least you don't have to worry about the digital version taking over your yard (or house).
William, thank you...I hope your day was wonderful as well. ;-)
John, thanks so much. This wasn't at my home but in the mountains, but thanks for the concern. ;-)
I like how you blurred out the background too. I think that is referred to as bokah. I have a new camera I am trying to find time to play with. One of these days I'll be successful like you. :)
