The Mesa, Arizona Temple sets up displays that are spectacular. Thousands of volunteers place 50 life-size figures, including a nativity scene and the three wise men and their camels. 750,000 lights are set in citrus trees, cacti and palm trees. The visitors center shows a short film depicting the birth of Christ through December 31. Holiday music is performed by valley choirs, school groups and entertainers.
Musical performances begin at 6 or 7 p,m. nightly. Be sure to see details at: MesaChristmasLights.com

I have seen that ... it really is beautiful
I'm going to have to check to see if they light ours up, but both my wife and I don't think they do. Really kind of disappointing. Maybe we will head down tomorrow and check to see, but I don't think they do.
Jami, it is awesome isn't it? ;-)
Todd, that's interesting. Maybe there's some kind of city ordinance or something? I'll share pictures of our's with you if not. ;-)
OH LA LA!
Teri,
What a beautiful display! Did you take this photo? I wish I was this talented at taking night-time photos. I'm still trying to figure them out....
Jo
I bet they get many to stop and enjoy the light presentation. Thanks for sharing.
Teresa, ;-)
Jo-Anne, yep, I sure did....took lots of them. My camera has the option for night photos...apparently it opens the lens longer? I'm still learning. ;-)
Terry, the grounds are covered with people enjoying the spirit and the lights. ;-)
Teri, very nice! I think that they look so elegant with the lights! I haven't been to Mesa yet, but Los Angeles, Salt Lake, and the rest of the Wasatch Front Temples are all gorgeous!
Hi Teri...Wow 750,000 Lights would be a great display.
Merry Christmas
What a beautiful picture. The only temple I have seen decorated for Christmas is SLC. I love the idea of the nativity scene and musical performances. Merry Christmas!
Tony and Darcy, it's definitely a bright spot in our desert! ;-)
Fred, 750,000 lights definitely enhance such a beautiful edifice. ;-)
Janna, I've not seen Salt Lake City or any other temple lit up, but for the Los Angeles Temple. Beautiful!
Hey Lady in Red - Great photo... but it is missing all of the cold and snow up North.
teri
That is some superb display. Makes one want to visit Mesa for sure. Its almost as large as our little Christmas island display lol
Teri,
What a beautiful photo. There's a magic about the water reflecting the building, the lights, and the nativity.
Mike in Tucson
Hey Teri... What a beautiful photo! I bet there musical performance is spectacular!
Cheron
Ryan, snow? what's snow? ;-)
Lloyd, thank you - it is beautiful.
Mike, thanks so much. Loved the reflection as well. ;-)
Cheron, thank you.....love taking them for sure. ;-)
Teri this is gorgeous and you captured it really well !
Sheldon, thanks so much! ;-)
OK, found out that we have no lights at the Portland (Lake Oswego) temple and that is because we don't have a visitors center... No visitors center, no lights.

Todd, wow! I learn something new every day. I had no clue! Thanks for the update. ;-)
