Those of us living in the Valley of the Sun know just how much we rely on our air conditioners to keep us cool in the summer.
SRP is offering rebates ranging from $200 to $400 for customers who replace existing heat pumps or air conditioners with “qualifying” high-efficiency central cooling systems. The rebate starts May 1, 2009.
In addition, qualifying new systems placed in service from January 1, 2009 through December 31, 2010, may be eligible for a federal energy efficiency tax
credit of up to $1,500.
Rebate applications are due by October 31, 2009. As always, for more details regarding SRP’s rebate or the federal tax credit, log on to www.srpnet.com/coolcash, or call: 602.236-9644.

That's the ticket Teri, Earth day is a good day to remind people to save money and our atmosphere by upgrading to energy efficient equipment, I hear it is blazing for so early in the year, hang in there.
Hi Teri,
So what's SRP? And this is a federal rebate, so it should apply other places too?

Hi Teri...You are sooo reliable to help the people in Phoenix and Mesa with Good Tip like this. I bet many people did not know about this until you posted this, and as we all Google will pick up this post and put it at the top of a Google page, just like they do with your real estate listings, which helps you sell them quickly.
Good Job, thanks for sharing the Energry Savings and Rebate Tip, I bet many will take advantage of the offers.
Whats an Air Conditioner? Is this something that makes the air cleaner and better condition? Is the air that bad in Arizona? (ROFL)

Great deal and consumer tips. It just snowed here the other day, but the warm weather is on it's way.

Steve, that's what I was thinking. With Earth Day, we are made more aware of how important it is to preserve our world. ;-)
Lynda, SRP means Salt River Project - providing electricity in parts of state and I think others as well. ;-) There might be federal rebates too....I'll have to research them. ;-)
Lori, thank you...it's so interesting, there are so many things going on around us. ;-)
Fred, thank you so much - and, thank you for giving me the heads up on my address. I changed it to show what I want it to show. ;-)
Todd, LOL...you're funny, very, very funny. Wanta send some rain and snow our way? ;-)
Tom, it was hot yesterday and today. Supposed to cool off into the mid-90's and mid 80's by the weekend. ;-)
I wish we had the opportunity to worry about such things. Summer seems to last a minuscule amount of time compared to Winter here (:
Now is certainly the time to get the work done before the heat of the summer.
